Money Matters Monday {7.29.13}

mondaymattersmondays[1]
Hey there again!  I know I have 5 months before Christmas, but all these Christmas in July festivities really put me in a holiday spirit!  I don’t know about you, but as Christmas gets closer and closer, I start thinking about gifts.  I LOVE giving gifts…  but, I love giving gifts that mean something to the person!  We’ve all been there…  Christmas is getting closer and closer and all of a sudden you find yourself at Target frantically searching for the ‘perfect’ gift for a certain someone.  Well, you aren’t going to find that ‘perfect’ gift at Target…  all you need to do is a little planning (see my last Money Matters Monday post!), and you can come up with something for almost everyone on your list.  It’s less expensive and it means so much more…  it’s a homemade gift.  I found some examples as I searched the internet and here’s some of my faves…  You’ll see a photo and description of the gift…  and also an example of how you can make really personalized  and unique tags and cards from your Christmas digi stash!

and how about this for a tag (3×3)…  (I LOVED her little saying!)  I used a couple papers from my digi stash, and just used some free chalkboard fonts to make the lettering!

…and here’s a Christmas inspired wrap around to go on this cute jar of foot scrub!  I used paper from the Cheerfully Charming GP from Urban Wings…  and tada!

and lastly 3.  Homemade Cookie and Candy Jars (TOO CUTE!)

I’m thinking a larger jar with candied nuts for our dads…  cookies for neighbors…  and candies for teachers!  For my top I used my Songs of the {Season} WA and some Christmas papers!

I hope these ideas inspired you to make some homemade gifts for your loved ones!  Have fun…  and post your projects at theCreativePixel Members Gallery!
